Source Networks was recently contracted to manage the IT needs of a small business that is an Apple hardware only company but is running a version of QuickBooks Enterprise that only runs on a Windows platform. Running dual operating systems increased the necessity to protect each machine from possible exposure to Malware or a Virus from either platform. The existing Antivirus solution was only installed on the Windows platform inside Parallels. With the Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security Service product, we installed a license for each platform or two licenses per machine to protect each operating system. Running a dual Antivirus/Malware solution did not have an adverse affect on the performance of the machines and this solution provided real-time monitoring and protection of each machine managed with the management portal.
