Company was growing and needing to expand its wireless capabilities to support its rapidly growing wireless needs, offer both a private and public SSID, needed reporting to maintain HIPAA compliancy, and to provide better throughput and support for the latest wireless technologies. Source Networks was contracted to replace their existing, out of date equipment, with Cisco Meraki access points.
As a certified Cisco Reseller and installer, we evaluated their existing needs, priced the necessary components to replace the existing wireless equipment, purchased, configured, and installed the solution. We ran new Ethernet cabling to support the PoE needs, configured the private and public “guest” networks, installed Meraki’s MDM (Mobile Device Management) solution to auto-configured the wireless profiles to all their machines, and test the signal strength throughout their large office space in a multi-story office building.
Because this customer works in the medical field, we determined the settings necessary to comply with HIPAA, advised on how to access the reports, in addition, provided network documentation for any future auditing.
